Mechanism & Effect
Applications in polymer coatings:
  • The water-based wax emulsion can be combined with polyurethane and acrylic emulsion to improve the release property and anti-block of polymer coating, help to smooth the coating, adjust the surface friction coefficient of the coating, and improve the wearability. Our emulsified wax products developed for this field can provide excellent storage stability, heat stability and hard water resistance at low concentrations.
Application in labor protection gloves:
  • The emulsified wax itself is chemically inert and does not react with latex. The selection of low-molecule-weight emulsified wax products can play a certain barrier role in the migration of fillers, prevent large area "spray" on the surface of latex gloves, and do not affect the secondary hanging glue and processing. The selection of emulsified wax products with low friction coefficient and high hardness can increase the slipperiness of gloves and improve the wear grade of gloves. Due to the migration mechanism, the ozone isolation layer is formed, which can increase the elasticity of gloves, improve the aging/weather resistance, and extend the service life of gloves
  • Emulsified wax can be used directly as an external release agent during glove processing. Products do not contain silicone halogen AOX, VOC, APEO, heavy metals, formaldehyde, low emulsifier usage, environmental protection, in line with medical industry standards.

Product Selection Guide

  • According to the coating's surface friction coefficient requirements, surface energy requirements, anti-wear requirements, gloss and transparency requirements and other functional requirements, choose different kinds of water-based wax products (wax hardness, polarity, melting point, particle size). 
  • Considering the compatibility requirements of the system, it is generally necessary to consider the ionic form, solvent resistance, pH, viscosity and other factors of the emulsion system
